Christopher Puchalla

Director

Christopher Puchalla is a management executive with 12 years experience specializing in start-up, high growth companies. He was instrumental in ramping up production at LL Funding, a mortgage lender that funded subprime mortgages in excess of $850 million. The company was originating at an annual rate of $1 billion in six major metropolitan markets when it was sold to a NASDAQ-listed firm in 1998. Puchalla then founded Residential Loan Corporation, a retail mortgage company. Under his leadership, Residential Loan has expanded into four major markets and realized 100 percent annual growth.

In 2000, Puchalla founded Subprime Exchange, Inc., which developed a web-based business-to-business platform for mortgage brokers and lenders. Subprime Exchange, Inc. later became LoanRover Decision Systems, Inc., which developed Loanrover®, the first ever multi-lender automated underwriting technology in the mortgage industry. LoanRover® Decision Systems, Inc. was acquired by Wellington Technology, Inc. in 2004.

Puchalla served on the Board of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers (MAMB) and has presented at several financial services related conferences, including the National Home Equity Mortgage Association?s (NEHMA) annual conference and MAMB. He's also been featured in numerous publications, including Inside B&C Finance, Mortgage Technology Magazine, Origination News and National Mortgage News. Puchalla currently serves on the Board of Wellington Technology as well as several other high technology companies.

Puchalla lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and three children.
