James Evert
Director and CFO
James D. Evert has over 38 years of experience in management and technology development. He was the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Irvine Sensors Corporation (NASDAQ - IRSN) from February 1997 until June 2000. He was responsible for spinning out several independent start-ups including RedHawk Vision Inc.where he served as COB and CEO until his retirement in 2002. He also served as a member of the boards of Novalog, Inc; MicroSensors, Inc.; and Silicon Film Technology. Prior to joining Irvine Sensors, Mr. Evert was an independent management consultant. In that role he assisted Fujitsu Microelectronics, Inc. in the formation of a graphics product subsidiary and subsequently served as a Vice-President of FMI and GM of that unit. Prior to his association with Fujitsu, Mr. Evert served as Director of Manufacturing for Super Computer Systems, Inc. and spent nearly thirty years in various management positions within International Business Machines Corporation ("IBM"). Beside his management and technology background, he has significant operations and financial experience and skills which help provide us with a balanced Board.
Mr. Evert is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B. S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
