- Use of MS Project based Project Management tool, internally at offshore location and at client site for onsite team and client.
- Regular project review between onsite and offshore teams using VoIP & IP Phones, E-mail, IM and Audio-Video Conferencing.
- Established Risk Management, Change Management and Version Control processes to effectively manage onsite/offshore projects.
- Involve client designate project team in the development life cycle along with the onsite team.
- Use-case based or design-based iterative ‘Prototyping’ approach to freeze project scope.
While the requirement analysis, design specifications & prototyping majorly involves the onsite team, finalized design specifications are forwarded to offshore development team for development.
The role of onsite resources is then transformed to project reviews, change management, testing and client coordination. The onsite team is again pressed into active roles during the time of final delivery, user acceptance testing, training and final sign-off.
